Our Pastor
Our Pastor David A. Peterson was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He became a Christian at the age of seventeen and was called to the ministry shortly after his conversion to new life in Christ. Pastor Peterson is a graduate of Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna Minnesota and Central Baptist seminary in Minneapolis. He holds a B.A. in Bible and Pastorology and a M.Div. degree.
Pastor Peterson met his wife Carol during his Bible College years and together they have served the Lord for more than thirty-seven years. Together, Pastor and Carol have served seven different churches in Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, and Nebraska. Among the churches he has served were: Emmaus Baptist Church in Minnapolis for nine years, First Baptist Church in Rochelle, Illinois for six years, Associate Pastor at Ashburn Baptist Church in Chicago under Vern C. Lyons the Senior Pastor for almost four years, and nine years as the Senior Pastor of Temple Baptist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Pastor Peterson has been the Pastor at Karen Street Baptist since September of 2004 during which time the church has grown from 55 to more than 100 on Sunday mornings.
